I must come from a long line of warriors. The first time I held the hilt of a sword in my hand, it felt right. The first time I pulled a bowstring to my cheek and let fly, it felt familiar. And it might explain the pleasure I take in a fine blade or a fine firearm.

Just as I subscribe to the Heinleinian definition of "weapon" (anything that comes to hand in a crunch and not necessarily limited to physical objects), I subscribe to the idea that "warrior" has many definitions. And I count myself a warrior by several of them.
